Hundreds gathered recently for a groundbreaking ceremony in Annapolis, MD, for a facility named after retired Lt. Cmdr. Wesley Brown, the United States Naval Academy's first Black graduate.

The Wesley Brown Field House, a $45 million, 140,000-square-foot structure is slated to have the most advanced technology for personal condition and combat preparedness and will house facilities for physical education, varsity and intramural athletics, club sports and personal fitness.
