According to Al-Hayat newspaper (April 17, 2006), a senior source at the Dubai Holding Company forecasts the Dubai Industrial City to lure $3 billion investments in the earlier phases, of which $1.5 billion governmental investments in infrastructure. Dubai Industrial City is an industrial zone clustering manufacturing facilities in high value added sectors from the UAE, GCC and Far East regions, will sprawl across 560 million square feet of prime land.
