Medina murder trial postponed.

Apr. 12--The trial of a La Junta man accused of participating in the shooting that silenced outspoken community activist Danny Medina was postponed indefinitely. It was scheduled to begin Tuesday and last two weeks.

Joe Anthony Martinez, 24, is charged with first-degree murder for the June 29 slaying of Medina. After agreeing to postpone the trial, prosecutors also agreed to a bond reduction for Martinez from $500,000 to $10,000. He was released from Pueblo County jail Tuesday night.
