Gustavus hydro project gets green light.

Apr. 9--It has taken more than a quarter of a century, but the small Southeast community of Gustavus will finally get access to clean, renewable and less expensive hydro-electric power following a complex land exchange between the state and federal governments.

The exchange is significant because it is a rare instance of the federal government agreeing to exchange lands that have been designated wilderness, although some of the lands received from the state will become wilderness.
