Ellen King, 14, is always up for a challenge. This year, she raced for two days in freezing weather. She survived a night camping out in the snow. Through it all, she had to rely on herself and her team. Nothing phased her. She took third place and won a $1,500 scholarship.
Ellen is a musher--she races sled dogs. She comes from a family of mushers. Her two older sisters, Cali and Tessa, also race sled dogs.
