Sprint Nextel acquires ECP.(FINANCIAL)

In November 2005, Sprint Nextel paid $4.3 billion for Alamosa Holdings. The company also paid Alamosa Holdings $2,297 per subscriber. Similarly, in another agreement Sprint brought U.S. Wireless for $1.3 billion. Sprint Nextel has now entered into a deal with Enterprise Communications Partnership (ECP). Sprint Nextel is paying ECP about $1,923 per subscriber. By the end of September, ECP's 80 employees will move onto the payroll of Sprint Nextel.
