Apr. 8--The technology behind the most successful product in GE Healthcare's history, generating more than $1 billion in sales since it was introduced in November 2004, could open a new market for the company's CT scanners.

That potential could be seen Friday in a ballroom at the Midwest Airlines Center when hundreds of cardiologists watched a live demonstration broadcast from Texas of a CT scanner being used to check for blocked arteries in two patients' hearts.
