The African Church is trying to eradicate ethnocentrism in Africa to bring about democracy by uniting people of different ethnic groups. Africa is disintegrating due to civil wars, and political assassinations, which is a result of multiethnic tensions. Missionaries is Africa are making people believe that Jesus Christ is the Lord of all. They are trying to bring together people of diverse ethnic groups by making them believe in a common God.
