Campuses should do more to help female students have a safer spring break, says the American Medical Association.
The group this month released a study revealing that women drink in excess and are sexually permissive on spring breaks, which is hazardous to their health. "Spring break is broken," said Dr. J. Edward Hill, president of the AMA. "What was a traditional time to relax and take a break from college studies has turned into a dangerous binge-fest."
