Apr. 4--SACRAMENTO - The Sacramento County Historical Society recently presented its 2006 Preservation Award to the state Department of Parks and Recreation and the Leland Stanford Mansion Foundation.
The award recognized their collaboration in restoring the 19,000-square-foot mansion, the downtown Sacramento home of Leland Stanford, railroad tycoon and former governor.
