Apr. 3--LUANG PRABANG -- Bangkok Airways has proposed building a new airport for Luang Prabang to remove one of the impediments to tourist travel to the Unesco World Heritage Site in Laos.

Prasert Prasarttong-Osoth, the founder and chief executive of Bangkok Airways, warned that the existing airport in Luang Prabang would only be good for air traffic for the next three years.
