STUNNED Wendy Heath has told how her son Andy woke up from a coma - as doctors prepared to switch off his life-support machine.

Wendy had already finalised funeral arrangements for 27-year-old Andy.

The heartbroken mum of six had even agreed to let his organs be used to give others the gift of life after medics said there was no hope for him.

But only hours later, Andy amazed doctors by squeezing the hand of his sister Joanne, 28.

And last night Wendy said: "It's a miracle - we've got him back from the dead."
