JOHN PRESCOTT'S plans to build hundreds of thousands of new homes in London and the South-East were today trashed by MPs.
In a scathing report, the MPs said the rush to develop 200,000 homes a year over the next decade would result in "substandard" communities.
They accused Mr Prescott of driving through the development programme without plans for the necessary infrastructure.
