Mar. 28--Cynthia Dorsey and Donna Witherspoon are new farmers to Warren County, but they're the only ones who raise alpacas -- animals that produce the cashmere-like "Fiber of the Gods" fleece that was cherished by the ancient Incan civilization of South America.
Both chose the not-so-common alpaca because they wanted to raise an animal they wouldn't have to slaughter.
