It's been a month of firsts for the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
Earlier this month, Winona State and Northern State met in the championship game of the NCAA Division II North Central men's basketball regional. It was the first time two NSIC teams had met in the regional final.
Last Saturday, Winona State defeated Virginia Union in the championship game of the NCAA Division II tournament.
