The Food Standards Agency has greenlit its controversial multiple traffic-light labelling scheme, but has bowed to industry pressure to allow labels to be adapted to individual companies' needs.

It gave the front-of-pack labelling system the go ahead this week, setting out four core principles that must be applied.
