Brunei Darussalam is a small country on the northwest edge of the island of Borneo. The population numbers approximately 350,898.1 A fairly-large proportion of this population includes foreigners working on contracts in Brunei. Up to one-third of the total population of Brunei is made up of expatriates. The overall objective is to gradually have the expatriate population replaced by Brunei locals.
