Mar. 26--Mike Leach always gets a chuckle from people when he talks about the local landmark he helped bring to Gilboa.

"A friend and I each gave $1,000," said Leach, of Glandorf. "The next day, Peter Diller went out and bought that big 12-foot-tall bull. I'm not sure anyone knows why he chose a bull, except it was available. I used to say my friend, Vera Wehrley, owned the front end, and I owned the back end."
