The word, for some, conjures images of a hostile takeover, expansionism, coercion, and even surrender. Others may refer to annexation as "political union" or "reunification." The bottom line is that bringing one's property inside the city limits of a larger, adjacent city, such as Morgantown, means an increase in services and inclusion into a larger fraternity.
