A DRIVE to save London as the world's greatest international finance centre will be launched in tomorrow's Budget.

The City's biggest names are coming together with Gordon Brown to draw up an action plan to prevent boom countries such as China and India from knocking the Square Mile off its top slot. The Chancellor will set up a council of a dozen international business advisers to help improve the competitiveness of the British economy over the next three years.
