When Buell G. Duncan Jr. retires as chairman of SunBanks at the end of this month, he will be the last of his class to go.
Over a 40-year career that paralleled some of Florida's strongest growth years, Duncan spent his entire career at Sun. In that time, he has seen the bank holding company grow from one bank with $40 million in deposits to a statewide operation with $19.7 billion in assets.
