Present constitutional theory emphasizes the role of the other branches of government, aside from the judiciary, in interpreting the provisions of the US Constitution. These provisions are seen as not judicially enforceable, therefore the need for the other government branches to interpret them. Contemporary constitutional theory also demands the study of constitutions of other countries, with these constitutions eventually being compared with each other.
