Mar. 16--PALOMAR MOUNTAIN ---- Declining enrollment at the tiny, isolated Palomar Mountain School in the Valley Center-Pauma Unified School District has put the school's future in question.

Superintendent Lou Obermeyer met with the school's staff, parents and members of the Palomar Mountain community at the campus Wednesday to discuss how the school can be kept open in a district facing a budget deficit.

Enrollment at the school has always fluctuated but is expected to fall to record lows next year, Obermeyer said in a phone ...
