When Al Lorenz was meeting with Wenatchee planning officials Allison Williams and David Stahlheim last year about a possible development project in South Wenatchee, they joked with the Everett-based commercial real estate broker that he was over the mountains so often he needed to move to Wenatchee.

Lorenz was part of the original development team that signed a one-year option in 2o04 to purchase the Eastmont Junior High School property on N.E. Ninth Street across from the East Wenatchee City Hall. He and his partners pulled out of the deal in 2005.
