According to Mike Pitt, more than 1500 mast climbers are annually produced for the North American market. Pitt, who works at MastClimbers, a Grayson, Ga.-based distributor/rental dealer of these versatile work platforms, estimates contractors will use about 6000 units in the American market this year. It's an impressive number when one pauses to remember that the first mast climbing work platform was built in 1958.
