Mar. 2--Symbol Technologies Inc., the giant manufacturer of computers that scan bar codes, yesterday won its second multimillion-dollar patent infringement suit in two days.

The Holtsville-based company said that U.S. District Court Judge Jed S. Rakoff, sitting in Manhattan, upheld an earlier arbitration ruling that required Metrologic Instruments Inc. to pay Symbol $13.4 million in past-due royalties.
