WHEN Stephen Taylor took his metal detector out on an afternoon stroll, he expected to unearth the usual tin cans and worthless loose change.
Instead, he found the largest number of Bronze Age gold pieces ever found in the UK.
There were 57 in total, along with rings, bracelets, weapons and fragments of other objects.
