Scott Price has heard the joke about sweeping the floor.

"You get the `You must be good at cleaning the house' thing," said the 10-year curling veteran and member of Wayland's Broomstones Curling Club.

Thanks to the Winter Olympics, this nearly 500-year-old sport has enjoyed a considerably higher profile. But to those not in the curling know, there's still a bit of mystery shrouding this stone-sliding, ice-sweeping sport.
