Network traffic acceleration and optimization are front-burner technologies of late, as organizations try to wring out as much value from their data networks as possible. Network performance products made a strong showing at the recent Interop conference in Las Vegas, and as more organizations centralize their servers and deploy Web-enabled intranet applications, vendor revenue for these two uses is growing rapidly, according to research firm Gartner.
