The UN will be responsible for the administration of Sarajevo, under an agreement by leaders of the warring ethnic factions. This development could mean the end of Sarajevo as a place where ethnic groups could co-exist.

ON AUGUST 18th, at the Geneva peace conference, the leaders of Bosnia's warring groups agreed to put Sarajevo under United Nations administration for two years, while tempers cool and Bosnia & Hercegovina is carved up.
