He has seen the development of a modern highway network, an indigenous automobile industry, and low-fare airlines savage KTM's long-distance rail business; watched a 120-year old network generally slip into decline outside the Kuala Lumpur area; and suffered the revenue effects of a government that allows him zero input on fares and freight rates.
