Showa Shell names Senior Managing Director Murayama president.

Feb. 17--TOKYO -- Showa Shell Sekiyu K.K. said Friday it will promote Senior Managing Director Yasuo Murayama, 58, to president March 30 to replace Haruyuki Niimi.

Niimi, 69, chairman of Showa Shell, has been concurrently serving as president since last October, when then President John Mills returned to the parent company, Royal Dutch Shell PLC. Niimi will concentrate on the job of chairman after the switch.
