MANILA (AFP) - About 600 Filipino Muslims burned Danish flags in a noisy protest against the controversial cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed outside the Danish consulate here today.
"Behead those who insult Islam," said one placard hoisted by the protesters as they burned or ripped apart at least four Danish flags, chanting "Allahu Akbar" or "God is great" and shouting obscenities against Denmark.
