Seven low-cost drawing packages are reviewed. Expert Software's $49.95 Expert Draw has basic features and several advanced features at a very low price. Deneba Software's $79 UltraPaint combines both paint and draw tools at an attractive price, but it is more difficult to learn than a draw-only program. artWorks, also from Deneba, costs $149 and is essentially an enhanced version of UltraPaint; features include 24-bit color, QuickTime support, multiple layers and masking.
