EDENTON -- EDENTON - Garnet F. Noud, 96, formerly of Virginia Beach, passed away Feb. 8, 2006, at her home. Garnet was born on Nov. 21, 1909, in West Virginia, a daughter of the late Dan and Alice Ashworth Griffith.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Bert P. Carpenter Jr. and spouse Linda of Norfolk; her daughters, Virginia Jones of Isle of Wight and Norma Fried of Edenton, N.C.; daughter-in-law, Della Mae Carpenter of Edenton; her sister, Ida Young of Virginia Beach; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
