Tour the White House.

In honor of Presidents' Day, students will learn about the White House and the function of some of its rooms. Students will also read a chart about two famous presidents--George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.
Before You Read
Explain to students that the White House, in Washington, D.C., is where the president of the United States lives and works. It was built in the early 1800s, and each of its rooms has a rich history. Ask: Who is the president of the United States? What do you know about the White House?
