According to "Jordan Times", the government and political parties have agreed on a formula to grant state funding to political parties in accordance with the number of seats won in parliamentary or municipal elections. The minister also announced that new legislation will also allow private donations to political parties - something not envisaged under the 1992 Political Parties Law, currently in force.
