Feb. 8--Why Berks County Veterans Affairs was chosen to receive a gift of 830 plots in a Montgomery County cemetery 20 years ago is a mystery.

So is what happened to more than 500 of the plots in Limerick Garden of Memories Cemetery and what the county commissioners plan to do with the remainder.

Veterans Affairs Director Leigh Tallas found documents about the plots buried in an old file cabinet.
