In his 17-year run as pastor, the Rev. Jerome Klug helped St. Peter Damian Parish in Bartlett grow from a community of hundreds to a community of thousands.
Klug died of heart failure on Monday at the Rosewood Nursing Home in Northbrook.
He was 82.
Klug began as pastor of St. Peter Damian in 1973, serving until his 1990 retirement, when he was named pastor emeritus.
