Dustin Johnson from Purdue University was this year's winner of the undergraduate speech contest held during the annual Soil Science Society of America (SSSA) annual meetings in Salt Lake City in November. His winning speech was on the topic of "Soil, one of our most important resources. Do we undervalue it?" Dustin was presented a plaque at the student breakfast and will receive an award of $200 and a one year membership in the Soil and Water Conservation Society.
