No one pays calls any more, whether to drop off their visiting card or actually stay for a visit. For this reason visiting cards and their fanciful cases are now extinct. The cases are now collectors' objects of desire. If such bibelots bring on a faster heartbeat, this is the book for you. It covers all the bases concisely, and if your English is shaky there are two summaries, one in Danish, the other in German. There is even a small quatrilingual dictionary of useful terms like sealing wax, gutta-percha, and beadwork. French is the fourth language in this compendium.
