Jan. 28--CHENNAI, India -- Cholamandalam Investment & Finance (CIFCL) has entered a new phase with the closure of the deal between the Murugappa Group and Singapore's DBS Bank.
The Murugappa Group and DBS announced on Friday the closure of the transaction leading to both the firms becoming equal partners in the joint venture, CIFCL. CIFCL will be renamed "Cholamandalam DBS Finance" following the receipt of regulatory and shareholder approvals.
