Jan. 19--Does your best friend run with the "in" crowd? Does your canine deserve the superlative "Most Popular"?

If the hair on your sofa belongs to a Labrador retriever, then your answer to these questions is a definite "yes," at least according to the American Kennel Club's records. For the 16th consecutive year, the Labrador retriever was the most popular purebred dog in America in 2005 by AKC registration, with 137,867 registered in 2005.
