Jan. 19--The city is re-evaluating the use of Chicago police bodyguards for elected officials after a decision to reassign officers who had been assigned to City Clerk James Laski, Mayor Richard Daley said Wednesday.

But Daley, who himself is provided security by a full-time police detail, stopped far short of saying the practice will be discontinued.
