Austrian Airlines to be first European airline to fly to Iraq.(Brief Article)

The first European airline with the right to operate scheduled services to Iraq is likely to be the Austrian Airlines Group.

According to the airline, preparations are being made to operate flights to the city of Erbil in northern Iraq from 9 March 2006. The airline will fly twice weekly during March and April, and three times weekly from May, with an Airbus A319.
