Wallis and Futuna lose air links.

17 JANUARY 2006 MATA'UTU (Pacnews) - The only domestic air connection between the islands of Wallis and Futuna has been disrupted after a technical failure on the island's small Twin Otter plane's, French broadcaster RFO reports.
Local manager for Air Caldonie (AirCalin), which operates the aircraft, Frdric Noire, said they are awaiting the arrival of a qualified electrician from New Caledonia to maintain the aircraft.
But all domestic flights between Wallis and Futuna have been cancelled "until further notice" AirCalin said.
