Jan. 3--A massive water wheel, almost all that remains of a huge Oglethorpe County grist mill, soon could go on display in an Oglethorpe County park.

The wheel, 24 feet in diameter, once powered the big grinding stones in Echols Mill, a three-story mill that stood by Millstone Creek in the isolated Glade section of northeastern Oglethorpe County.
