Proclamation 6536 - National Poison Prevention Week, 1993. (speech by Pres Bill Clinton)

Pres Bill Clinton signed Proclamation 6536 which designates the third week of March 1993 as the National Poison Prevention Week. The annual observance of this celebration started more than thirty years ago and has dramatically reduced the number of fatal poisoning accidents among children. The Poison Prevention Council and the Consumer Product Safety Commission spearhead the annual celebrations through massive information campaigns and awareness programs.
