I see that boll weevils have been eradicated from 80% of U.S. cotton acreage. That's good news. Also impressive is the progress in eradicating pink bollworm, the major cotton pest in five western states. Now that Arizona has joined the effort, chances are good that the pink bollworm will soon become as rare as the boll weevil.
