Msgr. Frederick R. McManus, a noted canon lawyer, teacher, author and central figure in U.S. liturgical reforms after the Second Vatican Council, died at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston Nov. 27 of complications following a severe fall in October. He was 82.
His funeral was to be celebrated Dec. 2 at St. Joseph Church in Lynn, Mass., his childhood family parish, followed by burial at St. Joseph Cemetery.
